Inaugural lectures by university professors

The University of Vienna invites all newly appointed professors to present their key research areas to the academic community in an inaugural lecture, thereby contributing to academic networking and internal communication.

 
Who will assist you?

In a first step, please contact your department and the faculty/center to advertise the inaugural lecture internally.


The Corporate Communications service unit will assist you with the communicating of your inaugural lecture.

The Conference and Event Management service unit will assist you with arrangement of dates and room reservation.


What support is provided?
By arrangement with the dean or the head of the centre, you will be assisted with:

  • Arrangement of dates
  • Room reservation
  • Design and printing of the invitation
  • Entry in the events calendar
  • Presentation of the lecturer on the landing page for newly appointed professors
  • Post in the current news on the homepage of the University of Vienna
  • Tweet
  • Post on LinkedIn/Xing
  • Buffet organisation (ordered via the Mensa cafeteria)
