The University of Vienna endeavours to assist professorship candidates with the search for suitable jobs for their partners in order to support dual-career families.

Wiener Wissenschafts-, Forschungs- und Technologiefonds (WWTF)

In this context, the Univerity of Vienna cooperates with the Vienna Science and Technology Fund (WWTF). The WWTF provides a Special Dual Career Service Support (DCSS). This service concentrates on cross-institutiional provision and consultancy in the academic area (incl. administration both in the university and non-university sector, as well as the city of Vienna as employer).

The Professors´Appointment Consulting Service will put you in touch with the relevant contact person at the WWTF as required.

Dual Career Service Vienna - Lower Austria - Upper Austria

The universities and institutions of tertiary education in Vienna, Lower Austria und Upper Austria have established a Network, the Dual Career Service Vienna - Lower Austria -  Upper Austria, which offers support to professors interested in finding a Job in academia in Vienna, Lower Austria and Upper Austria and even more to recently appointed professors and their Partners in their new professional and personal situation and provides them with extensive support.

The Dual Career Service supplies practical Information on necessary formalities (Immigration, Registration), childcare and further education offers, and supports dual career couples in search of an appropriate Job for the Partner.
