The Vienna University Library is the scientific information centre of the University of Vienna.

The Vienna University Library comprises the main library and 49 department and institute libraries and offers a comprehensive range of services to all university staff and students, as well as the general public.

The current stock reflects the diversity of academic subjects taught at the University of Vienna and is constantly expanded with a view to the needs of research, teaching and studying.

Electronic resources (online journals, databases etc.) are constantly updated to ensure fast and direct access to international research results. Information available in print only is transferred to digital archives and is made available online.
